Emerging Young Indians in Technology

Bangalore:  Many media firms and business news reports debate about Indian enterprises or companies founded by Indians being short lived and not very successful.







 But all the big dreams are fulfilled with small initial steps. When many small companies established by Indians are being acquired by tech-giants every now and then, some young entrepreneurs with an Indian backdrop are on their way to become the leaders of the future tech industry themselves with their extremely successful startups.


Some born in India and some brought up by Indian parents staying abroad, these are mostly internet entrepreneurs who have made an impact in the world of tech enterprises



. While some of them are from strong management background, most are with immense tech research and industrial experience. 



Numbers of internet startups founded by Indians have raised multi million investment funds by the end of the financial year of 2011.



Here is a list of the young Indians who could be the future leaders in the world of technology.


This internet entrepreneur, born in Punjab, has worked in advertising firms since he dropped studies at the age of 16. He has raised more than $300 Million with his internet startup BlueLithium which is an online advertising domain. He has featured in the Oprah Winfrey show and as America’s Most Eligible Bachelor’s on Extra TV.

Italian stocks lead Europe as budget deficit fears quelled

LONDON (Reuters) - Italian stocks turned from a drag into a boost for European markets on Wednesday as signs the government would target a lower budget deficit quelled investors’ fears of a damaging showdown with the European Commission. Italian bank stocks jumped as much as 3 percent after government bond yields fell back and the spread to Bunds narrowed thanks to reports the government was targeting a lower budget deficit in 2020 and 2021. Dollar hits fresh two-month low vs. yen after U.S. GDP

SINGAPORE/SYDNEY (Reuters) - The dollar hit a fresh two-month low versus the yen and eight-month trough against sterling on Monday, staying under pressure after data last week showed disappointing first-quarter  economic growth . The dollar fell to 80.10 yen at one point on trading platform EBS, its lowest level since late February, and was last changing hands at 80.18 yen, down 0.1 percent from late U.S. trade on Friday. The dollar has come under broad pressure after data on Friday showed U.S. economic growth cooled in the first quarter partly as businesses cut back on investment, bolstering the Federal Reserve's case that interest rates should be kept near zero at least through late 2014. The slowdown also kept alive market speculation that the Fed may eventually launch another bond buying program, or a third round of quantitative easing. Greece was not ready for euro admits ex Bundesbank head

Greece should not have joined the euro, a former head of the German central bank, who was central to eurozone policymaking at the time, has said. But Ernst Welteke, who was Bundesbank president from 1999-2004, told the BBC that none of the eurozone's problems would be solved if Greece left. He added there should be greater transfer of wealth from richer parts of the eurozone to poorer parts. He said he was confident measures were in place to ensure the euro's survival. "The euro is not in as big a danger as is often recorded," Mr Welteke told Business Daily on the BBC's World Service.
